Easy Honey Bread Recipe

This post may contain affliate links. read disclosure here

I have been baking this Easy Honey Bread Recipe for the past several months now, but this past month has been an “eat less carbs” month, so I would like to share this recipe before I forget how to make it. The bread is a combination of the Easy Bread recipe and the No Knead Bread recipe. The dough is mixed the night before and baked the next day with no time spent kneading and waiting for the dough to rise. A kitchen filled with the scent of bread baking first thing in the morning makes my day even when it has just begun.

Ingredients:

3 cups of flour
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
1/8 to 1/4 cup honey
1 1/2 cups lukewarm water

Oil or butter to grease loaf pan
Cornbread mix (optional)

Instructions:

1. Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly
2. Mix honey with the water until it dissolves
3. Pour honey and water mix in with the dry ingredients until dough is moist
4. Cover with a dry cloth and leave over night for 9 to 12 hours

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
1. Grease loaf pan generously with butter or oil
2. Dust cornmeal mix on all sides of the loaf pan
3. Use a spatula to slide the dough out of the bowl into the loaf pan
4. Sprinkle some cornmeal mix on top of the loaf
5. Bake for 50 minutes
5. Take the loaf out by carefully turning the pan upside down on the counter
6. Cool loaf bread on a countertop or rack
