This easy simple white cake – one layer cake is my new go to recipe. It’s quick, tasty, and versatile.
I frosted the cake with luscious Yema and decorated with fresh grapes and berries. Yema is a Filipino style dulce de leche made of egg yolks and condensed milk. It’s an easy recipe that pairs deliciously well with a simple white cake.
You can find how to make Yema Frosting here.

👋 Maria,
I made this recipe recently for my husband, who’s crazy about almonds. So I used pure almond extract & folded ground almonds in the batter. I made a low sugar almond frosting. He said it needed more almonds.so I covered the top of the cake so hopefully he’ll like it even more. However, I thank you for this most wonderful recipe. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or whatever you celebrate. Thanks again, Anna
Sounds amazing! I love the creativity and is exactly what I hope for when creating basic recipes like this simple white cake! Happy Holidays to you too!
