Stir Fried Chayote Squash

Chayote is one of my favorite Filipino home cooked dishes. It is delicious,easy to make and nutritious.

Instructions

  1. Heat oil on medium heat in a large skillet
  2. Add garlic and saute’ for about 2 mins
  3. Add onions and cook until tender
  4. Add tomatoes and cook until tender
  5. Add ground pork, cook until brown
  6. Add Chayote Squash and water
  7. Add Spices: ginger, bay leaf, soy sauce, fish sauce
  8. Bring to a boil then simmer on low, cover the skillet
  9. Cook Chayote Squash for about 40 to 50 minutes or until tender
  10. Stir occasionally until cooked Chayote is cooked evenly
